Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Assessment will be based on students' own/group projects, continuous assessment (participation, home assignments), 3 theory check-ups, and two final written assignments, one written in pairs/threes.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Attendance (max. 2 absences)
Part 1: Course work, incl. developing an achievement test and rater training for writing. The points awarded to the different assignments are given in moodle and reflect the process and the product. (10%)
Part 2: Peer/self-assessment relating to course work (group work, individual work) (5%)
Part 3: Three theory check-ups adding up to approx. 90 minutes (30%)
Part 4: Final written assignment written in pairs/threes (40%)
Part 5: Individual written reflection (15%)
Four of the five parts as well as the overall score must be positive (above 60%).

* develop a basic understanding of fundamental concepts in language assessment with a special focus on the classroom context
* understand how to implement these concepts in the selection, development and evaluation of assessment instruments used
* understand the links between assessment, testing, learning and teaching
* help participants to become confident enough to continue learning about language assessment on their ownMethods:
