We will look at aspects of Arab popular culture as to found on the Web and analyze these aspects. The seminar aims at a new theory of popular culture in peripheral societies breaking apart.

Aims, contents and method of the course

Approaches and methods in cultural studies, esp. actor-network-theory and global history.
In this course you will have to follow the code of conduct at the University Vienna.
