Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
The texts will be read in class; students are required to prepare for this; in addition, they will prepare for the research skills meetings and present the pertinent results in this context. An assessment of the students' progress will take place at the end of the semester, based on the transliteration and translation of an Old Babylonian letter.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
40% of the evaluation will depend on the quality of the individual preparation of the texts (transliteration, translation, grammatical analysis)
40% will depend on the degree and quality of the individual participation in class discussions in the Tuesday and Thursday meetings
20% will depend on a final exam based on a text (transliteration, translation, grammatical analysis)
