Aims, contents and method of the course

Überblick der wichtigsten Religionen Japans mit einem Schwerpunkt auf folgenden Aspekten: Grundbegriffe, Geschichte. Ziel ist die Vermittlung eines Grundverständisses von Buddhismus und Shinto in Japan, ihr arbeitsteiliges Verhältnis sowie ihre Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede, insbesondere in ihrer historischen Veränderlichkeit. Als Grundlage der Vorlesung dient das digitale Handbuch Religion-in-Japan (https://religion-in-japan.univie.ac.at/Handbuch).

Assessment and permitted materials

Die Prüfung erfolgt online und mündlich in Gruppen von drei Studierenden/30 min., auf Wunsch auch auf Englisch.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
