Aims, contents and method of the course

Grundlage der Lehrveranstaltung bildet die Auseinandersetzung mit Bertolt Brechts epischem und dialektischem Theater.
Schwerpunkte: 1. Theoretische Konzeption und Begriffe 2. Politik und Theater 3. Historischer Kontext und die Diskussion um Tradition und Moderne

Literatur wird laufend auf Moodle bekannt gegeben.
Empfohlene Lektüre vorab: Bertolt Brecht: "Kleines Organon für das Theater"

Assessment and permitted materials

- kontinuierliche Anwesenheit und aktive Diskussionsbereitschaft
- kontinuierliches Arbeiten und Recherchieren (Hausübungen und Referate)
- schriftliche Einzelarbeit

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Examination topics

Materialrecherche, kritische Lektüre und Anwendung von Analyseverfahren bilden den methodischen Schwerpunkt der Lehrveranstaltung.
