Aims, contents and method of the course

Ziele: Vielfalt der Fragestellungen, die von dem Universalienproblem aufgeworfen werden; Stellung des Universalienproblems im Gesamtzusammenhang der theoretischen Philosophie.
Inhalte: Mittelalterliche und moderne Positionen; Voraussetzungen in der klassischen und spaeten Antike.
Methode: Auseinandersetzung mit Texten in Diskussion, Referaten, und schriftlichen Arbeiten

Assessment and permitted materials

Anforderungen: Protokolle, schriftliche Tests, Hausuebungen, kurzer Essay, Mitarbeit

Autoren: Aristoteles, Porphyrius, Boethius, Abelard, Ockham, Wittgenstein, Quine, Goodman, Strawson, Stegmueller. Texte werden spaetestens in der ersten Oktoberwoche auf der Lernplattform Moodle zur Verfuegung gestellt.
