Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The seminars' aim is to understand the main aspects of Plotinus' philosophy. We will focus on selected treatises. The criterion for the selection of texts is on the one hand to deal with a representative variety of Plotinus texts and on the other hand to discuss philosophical themes that pertain to Plotinus in particular. We will especially try to understand, how Plotinus' philosophy relates to that of Plato.
