This seminar will discuss different major theoretical paradigms from the different scientific disciplines (such as philosophy, psychology, sociology...) which have influenced education and research. Each session will look at and compare how these theories have been relevant for the discipline of education.
This in turn will help your understanding of education as a discipline and the theoretical differences within it.
The main discussions will concern how different prominent theorists in the disciplines conceived of the generation of reality and knowledge.
