Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course is oriented on the topic of educational equality/equal opportunity. During the seminar, participating students will carry out a research project and practically get to know and carry out all the steps of a research process (from the first idea to the compilation of a survey instrument to the implementation of the research). The students also have the opportunity to gain insights into larger project contexts. The data collected serves as the basis for the scientific bachelor thesis I.

Assessment and permitted materials

Conception and execution of the research project, completion of tasks, writing a research practical report and developing an expose for the bachelor thesis.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Presence in the course and active participation
The students develop basic skills for the implementation and evaluation of quantitative/qualitative-empirical research and can develop their own research projects

Examination topics

Students are instructed to formulate and carry out a research project based on literature research and their own theoretical examination. Tasks are to be finished independently as well as in groups.
