The students should develop a basic understanding of the consequences of scientific and epistemological decisions for the actual empirical human and social sciences. On the basis of this ability, they should learn to recognize the anchoring of psychological methods and theories in different epistemological positions in the philosophy of science - that is, a critical understanding of methods and an understanding of the effects of philosophical currents and positions, respectively of ideas of man on methods (or their development).
