Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

What drives us? How do goals emerge? How do we implement them? These questions of motivation psychology are of concern fo the whole of Psychology, from basic sciences to its applications. Maybe these questions are even the most fundamental questions of Psychology. In the seminar, we will acquire an overview of important theories and approaches to motivation psychology. Following this, we will read and discuss review and original research articles from this area.

Assessment and permitted materials

Regular reading of the texts; active participation in the seminar; presentations; comparative discussion of texts.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

All requirements have to be met with a D; it is allowed to miss the seminar twice.
