• Students must formulate a short comment on the core text for each session and post it on moodle by 10 PM Friday evening before the seminar
• Final essayThe final essay should be submitted as a written paper of 5 to 7 pages (12,500 to 17,500 characters including spaces). The essay should engage with a foundational text of political sociology covered in the seminar and discuss its relevance in the context of current sociological debates and issues. Additional relevant literature should be independently researched. Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
This is an immanent course with mandatory attendance. For a positive evaluation, the following components must be completed in addition to regular and active participation in the sessions:• Preparation, discussion, and presentation of academic literature (20%)
• Students should read the core literature announced in the course and actively participate in the discussion of the literature during the seminar.
• Posting comments on the text before the class on Moodle (30%)
• Final essay (50%)The exact content and formal requirements will be announced during the course.

Examination topics
For a positive completion, all components must be passed, and the minimum attendance requirement must be met.
