Im Seminarteil werden die für die chinesische Kulturentwicklung prägenden Ethiken des Konfuzianismus und des Taoismus behandelt. Die Thematisierung der konfuzianischen Orthodoxie erfolgt im Lichte gegenwartssoziologischer Debatten über den Wirtschaftswandel in China; die Thematisierung der taoistischen Heterodoxie im Lichte ihrer Rezeption im Umkreis aktueller Gesundheitskulturen.
