Aims, contents and method of the course

Since the mid-1990s, art biennials have proliferated all around th world, and are by now the most important institutions for exhibits of contemporary art.
On the basis of the provideed bibliography, this seminar will study this phenomenon.
- Methods:
(a) Interactive seminar;
(b) periodic reports about respective works;
(c) final paper
(d) final presentation of findings

Assessment and permitted materials

Marking
- Active participation in discussions: 20%
- Final presentation: 30%
- Final Paper: 50%
1) Production of a Paper (3.000 to 4.000 words per student, incl. footnotes and bibliography)
2) Li2) literature work: 30%
3) Structure: 35%
4) Argument: 35%

All elements of the amring need to be positive for a positive overall seminar mark
