* Mathematics in (quantum) physics , materials, (micro)magnetism
* Computational Fluid Dynamics, Geophysical flows, climate/weather models
* Mathematics in engineering, biology, medicine, social sciences, economy, finance, etc.;At least two of the following aspects should be covered: modeling, analysis, numerical methods, computer simulations.Each student develops a selected topic for an oral presentation and a written report, under the guidance of one (or two) of the professors but otherwise independently.
