Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This lecture consists of two parts: In the first part (until about the end of March) the students should give a presentation in English. This presentation should address a subject that the other students are familiar with (linear algebra or calculus). The presentations will be discussed in and possible improvements will be developed. In the second part of the lecture students will present their masterpiece and give a presentation about a subject of higher mathematics (if possible one that is not known to the other students).
Assessment and permitted materials
Presentation, presence, active participation in discussions, written summary of presentation.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Giving a presentation about the own field of research in English, improving presentation techniques, knowing and avoiding typical errors.
Examination topics
Presentation of students, discussion.
