The time slots Monday and Tuesday, 15:00 - 16:30 are reserved jointly for the lecture course taught by Andreas Cap and the proseminar. In the first week, both time slots will be filled by the lecture course. During these first lectures, it will also be discussed when the proseminar will take place.

Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
These are the tutorials for the lecture course "Lie groups" (250071), the contents are parallel to that course. Students solve exercises at home, the solutions are presented and discussed during the course. There is also the possibility to present longer seminar talks on topics related to the course.
Assessment and permitted materials
Active participation in the course by solving exercises and presenting the solutions and/or by presenting a longer seminar talk. Taking part in discussions of the presentations of other participants.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Successful presentation of the solution to three exercises or successful presentation of a seminar talk.
Examination topics
Exercises are based on the contents of the lecture course. The topics for longer talks are supplementary to these contents.
Reading list
Exercises will be posted online at http://www.mat.univie.ac.at/~cap/lectnotes.html in due time. For longer talks, literature will be discussed individually.
