Attention: The exercise groups 4-6 are combined into two groups of 75 minutes with maximally 39 participants each. In addition to a discussion of the exercises, there will be an overview over the lecture course.

The first group starts at 13:00 and ends at 14:15. Please note that this group collides with the exercise group 4 of Introduction to Physics III (260152). The second group (14:30-15:45) collides with groups 4 and 5 of Introduction to Physics III (260152).

Distribution: 26 students of group 4 and 13 students of group 5 participate in the exercise group at 13:00, further 13 students of group 5 and 26 students of group 6 take part in the group at 14:30. The precise distribution of students of group 5 takes place in the first exercise session.

Written Homework, 4 tests, blackboard presentation

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The assessment is based on the results of four tests and 24 homework problems (8 sheets of 3 exercises).

There will be weekly homeworks for which the students submit written solutions online in time. Every meaningful effort towards a solution counts one point. In addition one can obtain once two extra points for a good blackboard presentation of an exercise. The course can only be passed if a student obtains at least 16 points in this way, but the precise number of points does not influence the final mark. Furthermore an active participation in the exercise classes is necessary (maximally two sessions can be missed without excuse).

For the grading of the course there will be four written tests of 30 minutes, of which the three best ones enter the final grade. In each test one can obtain maximally 16 points, the maximal total number of points is therefore 48. The final mark is computed from the following key:

At least 42 points: 1
At least 36 points: 2
At least 30 points: 3
At least 24 points: 4
Less than 24 points: 5
