Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Students work independently on problem solutions related to content of the corresponding lecture course (VO). Presentation and discussion of solutions by the students.

Assessment and permitted materials

Weekly checkmarks (in Moodle) for the problems solved and presentation of solutions by students during the PUE sessions (upon request).

This PUE is non-compulsory, but recommended in preparing for the corresponding module exam.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The grade will be based on the combination of the number of problems checked (overall for the entire semester) and the student solution presentations, with more emphasis on the latter. To pass the PUE, students are required to have
(a) at least 50% of the problems checked (overall for the entire semester),
(b) at least three acceptable solution presentations.

In principle, students are required to attend every weekly session; in the exceptional case of unavoidable absence please notify your PUE-lecturer (by e-mail) in advance.

Examination topics

The problems will be available on moodle in due time and are based on the content of the lecture course (VO).
