Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Bond types, crystal systems, lattice dynamics and thermal properties, electronic structure and optical properties, transport properties and magnetism in solids as well as modern experimental methods in solid state physics with particular reference to recent results of current research are discussed in exercises.
Assessment and permitted materials
Success in the task solution (minimum 50% of the tasks to be solved).
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Acquisition of knowledge of the structure and properties of solids with special consideration of problems in current research.
