This lecture pre-assumes a basic knowledge of quantum mechanics (E3,T2) as well as an interest in atomic physics and quantum optics. It is open to Bachelor, Master and PhD students.

Aims, contents and method of the course

The seminar will be based on topics discussed in text books of atomic physics and quantum optics.

Assessment and permitted materials

ECTS credits will be awarded based on a regular and active participation in the seminar meetings, complemented by the preparation of 1-2 presentations in the seminar (depending on the number of participants).
