Students will gain a general insight into educational research methods. The course will then go on to cover qualitative and quantitative methods and discuss the design and evaluation of survey instruments.
The search for and management of literature will also be covered, as will the basics of academic writing.
There will also be opportunities to discuss the progress of your own research and to seek advice on important decisions. Mutual consultation will sharpen your eye for the quality of research questions, academic texts and presentations.
