Students learn about the different types of subrecent and recent volcanism on the Aeolian Islands and Mount Etna. This is done by visiting various volcanic structures, examining rocks, and observing morphological features in the terrain. In addition, the basics are taught in evening seminar lectures given by the students and moderated by the instructors.
