Aims, contents and method of the course

Das Modul PM-Math-4 (NPI und PI) ergänzt die Module PM-Math-1, PM-Math-2 und PM-Math-3 und behandelt spezielle numerische Verfahren in der Meteorologie:
- Diskretisierung von Differential- und Integraloperatoren
- Der Begriff des Zustandsvektors
- Numerische Verfahren zur Lösung elliptischer Differentialgleichungen
- Diskrete spektrale Verfahren (FFT)
- Orthogonale Funktionensysteme (Kugelflächenfunktionen)
Lern/Qualifikationsziele: Gewinnung spezieller für das Studium notwendiger
mathematischer Kenntnisse.
