Aims, contents and method of the course
CURRENT UPDATE: The lecture will be organized online until further notice. Please see further detailed information on Moodle!Consolidation of astronomical knowledge, presentation, and written report of the own Bachelor studies.The seminar is in English and German.Thesis topics will be decided upon at the start of the semester. See Moodle, there will be a list with topics by end of Feb 2020. Or one can contact a professor or postdoc at the institute at any time to agree on a topic in advance.
Assessment and permitted materials
Written bachelor thesis to be submitted within the period of grace of the upcoming semester (deadline end of August 2020). Presenting the bachelor thesis within the seminar (until further notice with online conference). Active participation within the seminar is taken into account for final grading.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
- Present your thesis within the course (English preferred)
- Submit thesis (deadline end of August 2020)
- 75% compulsory attendance (will be also counted online)The thesis will be assessed by the supervisor.
The quality of your thesis presentation will be part of the grading.
Active participation during the course can positively influence the grading.
