Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The program for this semester is split into two parts.

We start with formulating some individual research questions within the context of habitability. This will be followed by reading and presentation of research papers targeting the specific individual science questions. The style of presentations of the papers will vary throughout this course.

For the second part of the semester, the students will give one presentation each, based on their research question and the chosen papers.

Each student will have an advisor and students are expected to discuss the paper selection and presentation details with their advisor prior to presenting to the rest of the class.

Assessment and permitted materials

Oral presentation on the selected topic, participation in discussions

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

- 75% attendance of all classes
- communicate with the topic advisor about the paper selection and the presentation itself
- presentation on peer-reviewed papers
- participation in discussion

Examination topics

will be announced in the course
