Aims, contents and method of the course

The main objectives of this course are to provide students with a fundamental understanding of the processes shaping economic development in a globalising world.
Students are required to participate in one class project that deals with some specific issues in the context of the seminar theme. For this project students will work in small groups [the structure will be determined in the first meeting of the class]. Each group is required to present the findings of the project and to write an interpretative essay [final report].

COURSE EVALUATION:
Discussion: 10%; Outline of the Structure of the Project Study: 10%; Presentation of Findings: 20%;
Final Report: 60%
