Aims, contents and method of the course

Professional city marketing is increasingly adopted also in small and medium sized towns in Austria, as it can be observed in Lower Austria. The means for it go further than the refurbishment of a city's image and interfere with different sectors of city development such as planning, location marketing and economic development (e.g. tourism and events). During the excursion two towns in Lower Austria will be the destination in order to get to know different concepts of city marketing as well as its objectives and challenges. On the first day a general introduction to theory and concepts of city marketing will be taking place.

Assessment and permitted materials

Preparation of a citymarketing concepts as a written assignment until October 15th
