conditions are assigning new tasks to the subject "Geography and Economics".
Teachers are asked to locate "Geography and Economics" in an amplified
perspective of world society. Having regard to pupils experiences, Global
Education takes globalisation as pedagogical starting point and offers new
possibilities to impart global interdependencies. Practical relevance and
curriculum references to the subject will be discussed in every course.
Concrete topics are: environment and development, globalisation and food
markets, fair trade, millennium development goals, global school networks
and Austrian players in the field of Global Education.
