Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The students have gained an overview to the political geography and geopolitical situation in selected European regions. Exemplarily, conflict regions spanning a geographical arch from the Baltics over Eastern and Southern Europe to the Caucasus are examined more closely. The conflicts therein cover a wide spectrum of political geography, from territorial to ethnic, economic and political challenges. The lecture will be supported by audio-visuals and selected reading.
