Aims, contents and method of the course

Continuing South Asia I (WS 2006/2007) with same aims. Dealing with factors of Physical Geography (geology, soils, climate, vegetation). Economic factors of productions within the primary and the secondary sector. Specific themes - as f.i. green revolution or IT-progress. Ecological factors discussing land use, climatic change, natural and manmade catastrophies. Economic and ecologic regionalization of South Asia.
