290388 SE Seminar for physical Geography and Landscape Ecology: General and Applied Climatology (2008S)

Within this seminar course selected examples on general and applied climatology will be presented by the participants. The students will be involved from the beginning into all stages of planning. This includes the choice of topics, the selection of suitable information sources (Internet, Journals, Books), the presentation of a concept, the presentation of the worked out topic, the preparation of a handout and respectively of a working record and a print version of the presented topic. At the end there will be an oral exam about a set of papers from specialized Journals. This seminar course is aimed at Geography students in the second part of their course of study. The participants should have a good basic knowledge about climate and related processes.
