Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

To gain an understanding of what are fluxes, to understand different types of fluxes and their drivers
To be able to plan an experiment measuring fluxes
To be able to measure fluxes using different methods
To be able to calculate fluxes and understand the factors influencing them (Statistical analysis of results)

The focus will be on greenhouse gas (GHG) measurement techniques, through aquatic (carbon and nutrient) and other fluxes will be covered

The course is taught through a combination of lectures, tutorials, structured assignments, demonstrations and application of knowledge gained during excursions

Assessment and permitted materials

Submissions of assignments (x2)
Active participation in lecture/field
Report submission + active group work

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

40% - 2x Assignment submissions
60% - Final Report (group)

A minimum grade of 50% for both the Final report and assignments (cumulative assignment grade) is required to successfully pass the course

Grading
> 87.5% = 1
75 - 87.49% = 2
62.5 - 74.99% = 3
50 - 62.49% = 4
0 - 49.99%=5 (failed)
