The lecture provides the basic knowlegde for the practical course (UE 300345) but is also independent from attending the practical course.
The different topics include spatial data properties, spatial data models and data structures, data collection (GPS, open data), projection , data manipulation and presentation of spatial data. The lecture aims to show the students the important role of Spatial Analysis in all the different fields of environmental analysis, landscape planing, conservation biology and accordingly its human dimension.
