Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
1. Evaluation will be based on class participation (25%), problem sets (25%), short essays (25%), and the final presentation (25%).
2. The course will not have any exams.
3. While any aid can be used for the course, the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) should not be used to arrive at final conclusions for the problem sets nor short essays. Direct copy and pasting of generative AI outputs will be not be accepted. While you may use generative AI for research purposes, you must disclosure how you used it in each submitted assignment (e.g., I used chatGPT to get an introduction to fungal mating types, and this allowed me to ask more specific questions in google scholar to arrive at an answer to the problem set).
