Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The lecture gives an introduction to the three-dimensional structure of biomolecules and explains the underlying physical principles. The structure of proteins is discussed in detail and in respect to their function. The basic structural principles of nucleic acids and biomembranes are summarized. The lecture focuses especially on the experimental methods suitable for characterizing structural and functional properties of biomolecules (oral examination by personal arrangement)
