Attendance compulsory at the kick-off meeting (Wednesday, March 4, 3 p.m.): Those who do not attend without prior notice (sonja.windhager@univie.ac.at) will be deregistered so that students from the waiting list succeed.
You can choose whether to attend the kick-off meeting (March 4 3 p.m.) and theory sessions (March 18, March 25, April 15; 3 p.m.) digitally or on site. A Zoom link will be available on Moodle.
Interested students with missing ECTS credits from prerequisites are kindly requested to register via sonja.windhager@univie.ac.at before the preliminary meeting, at the latest by March 2. Any requests from previous terms will not be transferred automatically. You are then invited to join the kick-off meeting to see if a place is available. If more than 10 ECTS are missing, late registration is not possible.

Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
To safeguard good academic practice, the lecturer may ask students to reflect on their written assignements in a conversation. Students must successfully pass this reflection.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
If good scientific practice is violated in any assessment, you will fail to pass the course.
Supervisors will be assigned during the kick-off meeting.Method of the course: Introductory lectures including demonstrations in databases and relevant software to teach the necessary skills to conduct a scientific literature review and present it orally to an audience of specialists; guided empirical work and writing up of a thesis on a specific topic.
