Arabidopsis thaliana, Escherichia coli & Saccharomyces cerevisiae as model organisms for recombinant gene expression
Content:
Preparation of competent E.coli
E. coli and yeast transformation
DNA isolation from E.coli and A. thaliana
PCR
Cloning of amplified genes into yeast and plant expression vectors
Yeast two hybrid system
Plant protoplast transformation
Expression of GFP (green fluorescent protein) and GFP fusion proteins in yeast and plant cells
Reporter gene expression analysis
Detection of GFP with fluorescence microscopy
Maximal number of participants: 20
