Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Folgende Kriterien werden für die Leistungsbeurteilung herangezogen: Anwesenheit und Mitarbeit, Methoden-Protokolle, Literaturreferat, Schriftliche Ausarbeitung der Literaturarbeit, Durchführung der Arbeit, Präsentation der Ergebnisse, Schriftliche Projektarbeit.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Mindestanforderung. Umgang mit Office.
Beurteilungsmaßstab:
1. Darstellung von Publikationen in Form eines Vortrages und einer Literaturarbeit.
2. Erlernen und zielführender Umgang mit Geräten, Techniken und Programmen (Excel, SigmaPlot, SPSS, CoolEdit, Sound Tools STX, BioSig).
3. Darlegung der Projektergebnisse in wissenschaftlicher Form – Vortrag, Projektarbeit.

Die zur Durchführung der Übung notwendige Literatur wird im Laufe des Praktikums ausgegeben bzw. auf Moodle gestellt.

In the seminar students will hear about basic acoustical techniques such as sound recording and analysis, sound level measurements, hearing thresholds determination, data presentation and statistics. Students will give seminars on papers important for their research project, and finally will present the results of their project.
In the practical part students will take care for their animals, learn basic acoustical techniques, collect and analyse their data and write a paper-like work.
