Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course gives a widespread view about rocks and rock formations. Beginning with a short introduction in rock forming minerals and structure and composition of earth it leads to rockforming processes concerning magmatic, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks.
A short course in soil science is provided.
Parallel to the lectures demonstrations of the most important rocks are given.
