Aims, contents and method of the course

Seminar in preparation for " excursion and course in the desert of Wadi Rum , South Jordan" in SS 2018; ppt-presentations about regional geography, geomorphology, geology, soils, climate, fauna, flora, ecophysiological adaptations to extreme habitats-
binding registration for the excursion (seat reservation for the flights is necessary)
The lecture "Introduction to desert ecology" is an urgent recommendation

Assessment and permitted materials

60 min. written examination at semester end . obligatory for participants of the excursion

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

60% of the answers must be positive

10 questions from the ppt-series; lecture participants will get all ppt's as pdf
