The information and selection will take place on 04.10.2016 at 9am in the seminar room of the Dept. of Molecular Evolution and Development (2.070), BioCentre Althanstrasse 14/1090 Wien.
The course will last 4 weeks and the dates of the practical course will be agreed upon individually with the supervisors of the course.


Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This Projektpraktikum is primarily meant for Bachelor thesis students. The student will work on a small research project either in the Dept of Neurobiology (Prof. Hummel) or in the Dept. of Molecular Evolution and Development (Prof. Technau) addressing questions of the molecular and cellular mechanisms of neurogenesis and muscle development in the respective model organisms of the Departments. The course is full time over the course of 4 weeks and it includes an oral seminar and the delivery of a Bachelor thesis or a report of the experiments.

Assessment and permitted materials

The final grade will be composed of 25% performance during the course and the seminar, 75% of the thesis / report.
