Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course will cover current topics in Biomolecular Anthropology in the DoA department and is targeted towards students preparing their thesis. The main focus lies on Master and other thesis projects, their design, scope and presentation, as well as on structural and content requirements of a thesis. PhD projects, including thesis chapters or the preparation of scientific papers, are also welcome and ca be discussed accordingly. Participants will be guided through the process of developing research questions, presenting and contextualizing data, writing and the submission process. They will also be given the opportunity to present and discuss their own work or plans at an informal setting and gain experience in public talking.

Active presence, Thesis presentation (expose/ chapters/ draft manuscripts)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Attendance is a prerequisite.
The grade is based on the active engagement, and the thesis/ expose presentation:

1 (excellent) 100-85%, 2 (good) 84.99-75%, 3 (satisfactory) 74.99-65.0%, 4 (sufficient) 64.99-50.0%), 5 (not sufficient) <50.0%.
