Aims, contents and method of the course

Ziele: Vertiefung der Kenntnisse der Biologie von Amphibien und Reptilien, Einblick in aktuelle Forschungsprojekte, Verständnis für die Bedeutung systematischer und ökologischer Forschungsergebnisse im Naturschutz; Einübung in Recherche und Präsentation wissenschaftlicher Ergebnisse

Inhalte: Verbreitungsanalyse, Habitatmodellierung; Taxonomie, Phylogeographie, Hybridisierung; phänotypische Plastizität; Populationsdynamik, Ausbreitung; Rote Listen, Neobiota, Klimawandel; morphologische Analysen bei Reptilien; Konzeption einer Ausstellung

Methode: Kombination aus Frontalvortrag, Literaturseminar und praktischen Übungen

Assessment and permitted materials

Beurteilung der Präsentationen und der Mitarbeit (praktische Arbeit, Diskussionsbeiträge)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Mindestanforderungen: Teilnahme an der Übung (mindestens 90% der Termine), zwei Präsentationen (Kurzvorträge)

Beurteilungsmaßstab: zwei Präsentationen je 30%, Gruppenpräsentation 10%, Mitarbeit 30%
