Die Studierenden lernen theoretische und praktische Aspekte des Fachgebietes Forensische Anthropologie:
- Thanatologie und Taphonomie
- Todesart und Todesursache
- Speziesbestimmung
- Methoden der Liegezeitbestimmung und forensische Relevanz
- Minimale Anzahl der Individuen
- Bestimmung des biologischen Geschlechts
- Eingrenzung des Lebens- bzw. Sterbealters
- Schätzung der Körpergröße
- Eingrenzung der ethnischen Zuordnung
- Feststellung individueller identifizierender Merkmale
- Disaster Victim Identification
