Aims, contents and method of the course
Current questions and methods of evolutionary biology will be applied to two research projects: phenotypic plasticity of amphibian larvae (experimental ecology, geometric morphometry) and crossing experiments with flowering plants (flow cytometry, seed screening).
Assessment and permitted materials
Assessment of practical work and written reports.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Understanding of current topics in evolutionary biology, ability to apply relevant research methods, practice in writing scientific reports.
Examination topics
Discussion of scientific papers, practical research in small teams, data analysis and writing of reports.
