Aims, contents and method of the course

Together with the subject "L. Maurer, 300317, Scientific seminars: ecological agronomy" the following topics will be presented in cooperation with national and international experts by means of regular seminars (every two weeks) and occasional excursions in the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Organic Farming and Applied Ecology:
* Compost application in Organic Farming; methods to determine nitrogen dynamics in connection with different types of fertilsation
* Viennese program of contracted nature reservation " biotop farm land "
* Methods to determine product quality
* Control of weeds and pests in Organic Farming without the use of synthetic biocides
* Ecologcally orientated soil screening methods
* The production of quality seeds in Organic Farming.
Seminars specially for thesis and diploma students.
