Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Attendants of this laboratory course will work with molecular or microbiological methods on current research topics of Microbial Ecology.
Assessment and permitted materials
Continuous assessment of course work. Active participation in the planning, practical implementation, and evaluation of laboratory experiments is expected. Written extended protocol consisting of Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, and Discussion chapters as well as bibliography.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The attendants will learn how to design, perform, and interpret molecular biological and microbiological experiments.
Examination topics
Current molecular biological and microbiological methods used in microbial ecology.
