Didactic methods: conventional one and/or two days excursions with groups of ca. 30 students by bus; leadership inter- and multidisciplinary, respectively. The representatives of single disciplines are commenting the single phenomena on the visited habitats building bridges to the other involved disciplines; students have the possibility for active and interdisciplinary discussions. Individual protocols by additional use of "Further Reading Literature" are the base for positive evaluations of participants.
Contents: Pannonian landscapes (Danube, March, Mountains of Hainburg, Lake Neusiedlersee Region), Alpine Regions (Rax, Schneeberg, Hochwechsel), Ecosystem Wienerwald ("Vienna Woods"), the urban system of Vienna including aspects of human ecology
