The exercise will take place on three full days during the semester (approximately 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day). The possible dates will be presented during the preliminary meeting on 5 March 2026, 2:15–3:00 p.m., seminar room 5.1, UBB, and agreed upon and finalised together with the participating students. As a rule, one date will be agreed upon for each of the months of April, May and June.

The course is divided into three consecutive parts and includes observations of animals in different contexts: animal husbandry at the university, zoo and outdoor areas. Both qualitative and quantitative observation methods are taught and practised.
